FLORIDA SURVEYING AND MAPPING SOCIETY

Originally founded in 1955, the FSMS was organized in order to represent the surveying and mapping profession in Florida and to aid and contribute to the standards of the profession, for the benefit of both the general public and members of the association. 3002 Surveying is a Sustaining Member of FSMS, and 3002’s President, Brian Murphy, also serves as the President of the North Central Florida Chapter.

NATIONAL SOCIETY FOR PROFESSIONAL SURVEYORS

NSPS is the voice of the professional surveying community in the US and its territories. NSPS communicates and educates lawmakers, agencies, & regulators at both the national and state levels in order to promote the Professionalism of surveying, across the U.S.

American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing

Founded in 1934, ASPRS is devoted to photogrammetry, remote
sensing, and supports innovation, the advancement of knowledge and improvement
in the understanding of mapping sciences to promote the responsible
applications of photogrammetry, remote sensing, geographic information systems
(GIS) and supporting technologies.

 3002’s Brian Murphy is an ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist
and has sat on the National and Florida Region Boards from 2007 thru 2021, having
served as President of the Florida Region, Sustaining Member Chair
(Nationally), and as a coordinator for various workshops hosted by the Florida
Region.

Society of American Military Engineers

Founded in 1920, SAME unites public and private sector individuals and organizations from across the architecture, engineering, construction, environmental and facility management, cyber security, project planning, contracting and acquisition, and related disciplines in support of national security.

 3002 Surveying was named the 2021 Small Sustaining Member of the Year for the SAME Jacksonville Post. Our President also serves on the SAME JAX Post as the Director of Communications and works closely with the SAME JAX Membership, Programs, Industry Day  and Scholarship Committees.

Scouts BSA

Since its inception in 1910, the Boy Scouts of America has provided the nation’s foremost youth program of character development and values-based leadership training. BSA has helped mold the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. 3002 Surveying‘s President, Brian Murphy, is an Eagle Scout and works on initiatives to help make the Surveying Merit badge more accessible to our nation’s youth by creating web-based content and encouraging the development of Surveying and Geocaching Merit Badge curriculums to be offered at BSA Summer Camps.
